CATS- Costume & Wardrobe

The musical CATS has always been praised for its spectacular make-up and costume- here at Easy Street Theatre Company, our crew our working to the bone in order to insure we're up to West End standard. With a team of make-up artists and costume designer Debbie Francis (currently busy sourcing and sewing over 30 leotards and wigs!) at the helm, we're certainly in safe hands. Here's a sneak peak! 

We are delighted to have professional Make-Up Artist Pam Ellis on board. Here she is demonstrating her techniques on a Media Make-Up student from The Sheffield College to our team of face painters.

Our multi-skilled Principal Sallianne Foster-Major dolls up ES member Dylan Lambert (starring as "Mungojerrie") for the Children's University Award Ceremony.

Costume designer Debbie Francis and Prinicpal Salliane Foster-Major get to work testing fabric paint on (one of the eight thousand... or thereabouts) cat costumes. Go team ;)

Never one to be left out, ES member April Parker (starring as "Grizabella") had a go at some Cat make-up with brilliant results. Not just a pretty face!

Goodbye Sean :(

Easy Street member Sean Longmore has announced he will be leaving the company this year to study Media Performance at Salford University. 

After joining the company in 2010, Sean went on to star in productions such as Les Miserables and Barnum before landing the role of villain Rasputin in 2012's pantomime Anastasia. "Rasputin was definitely my favourite role so far," says Sean. "I got to strip and wear a beard." Hehh!

Sean will be leaving Easy Street on a very high note- playing the lead role of "Munkustrapp" in new production CATS at the Montgomery Theatre on 10th-13th July 2013. 

"I'm incredibly excited to be playing Munkustrapp and will miss Easy Street fondly," says Sean. "But I'll miss its members even more."
